Over March Break, my daughter wants to get together with 3 of her friends from summer camp, so she was wondering how to use Google Maps to do this. At first, I suggested the old-fashioned way of drawing lines between opposite places but then, being a bit of an internet nerd, I wondered if someone had created a site or app for that. Into Google I typed “midpoint between places on a map” and sure enough – BINGO! There it was: http://www.geomidpoint.com/meet/ We spent the next half hour entering the locations of friends and family scattered across the province to find the halfway point and meeting point between us. Talk about fun!
